Yep, apparently golf players are exceptionally well placed to be able to get a leg up when it comes to career moves. Rumour has always had it that many deals were done on the golf course, but now it seems you need to know how to swing a golf club to get your next job.
One VP has spoken out from personal experience saying that she “got the job as head of global marketing at KPMG in large part because top management knew me – and they knew me from the golf course,”. Obviously golf is now good for your bank balance. A number of our readers have commented on the move by golfing sites to emulate the win England football tickets competition that is being run by Nationwide currently. Do you think that they could use the same tacticts to entice new players?
Blind golfer gets hole in one! November 7, 2007
Wow! Blind golfer, Sheila Drummond has not been able to see her golf balls for the last 26 years… she can still hear them though! Experiencing what many are calling the highlight of her golfing career, Drummond recording an ace on the 144-yard, par-3 fourth hole at Mahoning Valley Country Club on Sunday. So it’s a cracking day for golf and noone is really hitting anything to good, but along comes semi pro Zoeller off of this par 3, and he looks like he’s just hit a mediocre shot onto the fringe. Yeah fair enough, golfers do that all the time, but wait! check out that swing and … u gotta see this golfing video

It’s only a short hole but there was a bit of wind into our faces, so I decided on a nine iron. I hit it well and I knew it was close, but initially we thought on the tee that it hadn’t gone in. It was only when we heard a loud cheer from behind the green that we realised it had actually dropped in the cup
